Frontrunner Republi'crats'....get ready to gag

Well, it’s official now!  The mostly unseen power brokers who decide every four years, (maybe every 8 years really) which Republican and Democrat good 'ole boy is going to get rammed down the collective throats of We the People, are starting to court the potential front runners.  So, as they sit high in their Ivory Towers, smoking those big fat stogies, inhaling that fine Cognac, maybe patting some evil looking, hissing, white kitties, and sharing their devilish Austin Powers’ "mwahahahahaha’s,” I have to wonder what those conversations must sound like.

As a note, this will mostly discuss the Republican Candidate decision since, while I believe the same Ivory Tower people actually decide both sides, it’s has become my forgone conclusion that the Democrats will always choose the most far left, Godless, un-American person they can dig up, (can you say Obama?)…with the Republicans running the one that most closely lines up with them while still offending the senses by keeping an ‘R’ after his/her name.  It’s a joke!

I guess since they’ve no doubt already decided who it is, it probably amounts to just a matter of how they’ll roll that person onto the stage and paint them to look less than liberal with a fancy title such as 'moderate’ or ‘middle of the road.’  We’ll hear all the normal terms like, "viability,” "electability,” and lots of other rhetoric.  Never will we hear anything like, "gee, who might the base actually want and like,” or "which of these aligns themselves with the original conservative platforms of the party?”  No matter who it is, they must of course be deemed ready and able to raise an Aircraft Carrier sized boatload of cash.

No one will bother to look at the conservative credentials of the choice; y’know, the credentials that used to identify what it meant to call oneself a republican?!  Now of course, the candidate must be an Ivory Tower approved name brand, even, nay, especially, if that brand reeks with the un-removable stench of liberalism.  They’ll try to perfume it up and give that stench all sorts of pretty names, "tolerant” and "progressive” to name a couple, but in the end, it has the odor of an open sewer leading from a landfill full of excrement.  The sort of stench that causes seagulls and vultures to hold their noses when flying overhead; but We the People be damned, the political favors and all the rest have to be considered, and then it all rolls down to the local REC’s and DEC’s.  If you don’t know, those are the Executives Committees for each party.

That’s where the party faithful on both sides, the guys and gals that do all the heavy lifting in the trenches, will once again don their party’s hats and get behind the candidate that the party bosses tell them they’ll get behind.  However begrudgingly, they’ll make the calls, walk the neighborhoods, attend the various events and make the surrogate speeches, and they’ll even start believing a lot of the manure they have chosen to be bullied into spewing.  Enough of them on one side will most certainly commit fraud again to ensure the victory of their candidates, not that it really matters who wins because we’re screwed either way.  The only real difference I see between the parties anymore is the rate that we reach the ultimate disaster we’re headed for.  I don’t even mind spelling that out for you.  We’re either going down very fast with a 'moderate’ Republican; or greased lightning fast, with a 'liberal’ Democrat.  If ever there was a time to man the lifeboats?!

As I was putting my thoughts together, it occurred to me that some might think my assessment too harsh; so let me 'splain with just a few brief points on two bad guys that are currently front runners and two good guys that I think should be.

Starting with a little recent history on Jeb "looking to make it a family hat trick” Bush; let’s have a look at his role in the last U.S. Senate election in Florida.  Very early on in the race, there was a gaggle of great Republican candidates; some better than others, slugging it out and traveling the state vying to replace Bill Nelson.  Among them were Col. Mike McCalister, Marielena Stuart, Craig Miller, George LeMieux, and several others.  So what happened to them?  While a couple of them stuck it out until the bitter end, some of them dropped out via the normal cycle of a campaign.

However, right after the New Year in 2012, along came Connie Mack; a smug, glad handing, party hack if there ever was one.  Well dontcha’ know that Jeb and Connie are buds from way back, so Jeb decided to endorse him by sprinkling some of what I like to call 'political bacon’ on him as if even the allure and smell of bacon could make him appealing to voters.  Said sprinkling did in fact suddenly and sadly elevate him as 'the anointed candidate’ due to the system and of course, another 'known name’ Republican named Dave Weldon jumped in at the very last minute in a vain attempt to make it look good, and suddenly they called it a 'two man’ race.  As for those candidates who were in it from the beginning, they were cast aside and eaten alive by their own party as if they never existed.  It was disgraceful.

The end result was Mr. Mack won the primary, but got crushed in the main event.  I don’t mind telling you that I have never been happier to see a loathsome leftist Democrat win; such was and is my distaste for Mr. Mack and the system that elevated him.

Moving along on the Bush disaster trail, let’s see; oh yeah, I always thought that the two parties didn’t openly support each other, and one would never applaud the other.  Well maybe under normal circumstances, but not when we’re talking about the 'Jebster.’  Y’see, last November, Jeb Bush awarded a "Liberty Medal" to none other than the likely Democrat Presidential Candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Imagine that…only a little better than a year after she was at the helm of the State Department and did nothing when Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were brutally tortured and murdered in Benghazi, she was honored by a Republican named Jeb Bush.  C’mon Jeb, let the Democrats laud her with underserved, false praise if they want to.  How could you or anyone hold their head high after awarding her anything, let alone a 'Liberty’ medal?  Although I suppose considering the recipient, one might ask, "What difference at this point does it make?”

To finish my 'Bush Bash,’ why don’t you tell We the People again how great Common Core is Jeb? You not only espouse it and defiantly support it, you have been rude to people on the street that have tried to approach you and question you about it.  Newsflash Jeb, it’s a small state and world; We the People share those stories broadly, and you are NOT well received on the 'Tea Circuit’ which anyone who wants to sit in the Oval Office needs to be…just watch!  There’s a lot more I could say, but things like Jeb’s stance on illegal immigration can wait.

Okay, on to Governor 'love to smooch some muslim butt’ Christie.  Sorry Governor, I don’t care either way about the bridge distraction thing, and I admit that I liked it when you first came on the scene rightfully blasting the Teacher’s Union and the way you’ve handled some of those issues.  However, your appointment of a muslim as a judge and decrying those of us who rightfully take issue with it as "crazies,” shows your complete, politically correct, and very dangerous lack of knowledge of the second greatest threat facing America.  That’s not meant in any way as a personal attack on Sohail Mohammed…it is however a common sense issue about allowing foxes to guard the hen house.

You’ll note the treasonous, casual way POTUS has embraced the muslim brotherhood and placed a number of its members in places of strategic importance critical to the security of the nation.  Oh I forgot, he’s your buddy since that hurricane brought all of that relief money into New Jersey.  For real Governor, maybe you should consider spending some time with knowledgeable people like Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders, Brigitte Gabriel, Frank Gaffney, and Tom Trento to at least get a better understanding of this critical issue.  I’d be happy to arrange such a meeting for you.  Or perhaps you’ve never heard of Dearborn, MI and some of the other places destroyed by the effects of ‘islamification!’

You also need to man up and take a stand one way or the other regarding the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and stop flip flopping.  In case you haven’t read it in a while, here it is:   "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

The "people” it refers to are We the People.  You and the rest need to really consider that the real problem with crime has nothing to do with guns or any weapon, and everything to do with the human condition.  Also, please note that the two cities with the strictest 'gun control’ measures in America have the highest gun crime rates, which proves that such measures witness the reverse of the intended effect time after time.  May I suggest a book by Dr. John Lott…"More guns, less Crime?”

Okay, those are two of what I consider very 'un-Republicans’ and why; let me briefly mention just two that I think should be more in the running than the Ivory Tower guys will allow.

Ted Cruz; this is a man that loves America and defends the U.S. Constitution to the point that he has been ostracized by some of his peers for doing so.  Imagine that…ostracized for defending the U.S. Constitution, which they all took an oath to do.

Trey Gowdy; here is another guy that is standing up and saying what needs to be said in the halls of Congress.  My guess is that he’s not making a lot of friends, but I get the sense when listening to him that he is more interested in righting the ship than making friends.

There are a few other really good men and women that are more than qualified, but I am limited by the space I allow for a readable Op/Ed.  Not to worry though, I will be discussing them over the months leading up to the primaries.

My friends, as I stated earlier; I don’t believe it really matters who gets to sit in the Oval Office as president on January 20, 2017, and I know that they’re all far from perfect; but is it really too much to ask that we have someone in that office again who loves God, America, and what our Founders had in mind which they so clearly laid out in our Constitution?

At bare minimum, can we at least get someone that doesn’t suck?
