Run to Home Base for Vets

Written by The Patriots Press on . Posted in National News

Well it’s that time of year again.  The annual Boston Red Sox 'Run to Home Plate’ to benefit active military personnel and veterans is kicking off.

The way it works is simple enough.  Runners of all ages and from all walks of life get a chance to either run 9K or walk 3K through scenic and historic Boston, into Kenmore Square, and finally enter Fenway Park and cross the Home Plate finish line.

This is an event not to be missed and supports active military and veterans suffering from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries.  After the race, you can also grab a bite to eat and hang around a bit to watch the Red Sox face off against Kansas City just after 7:00.

On a personal note, I am very proud that my son, Captain David M. DiCrescenzo of the Massachusetts National Guard will once again be participating in this tremendous event, and as publisher of The Patriots Press I am honored to support this very worthy cause.

I would like to ask all of my readers to please consider following this link and helping this cause in any way you can.  On behalf of my son and all those involved with the 'Run to Home Plate’ thank you.
