"Inciter of hate and violence...extremist"...me?!

As the publisher of a patriotic, conservative website, I keep a close ear to what is happening in our country and on the world stage in the arenas of the culture at large, faith/religious issues, politics, and much more. When and where I see things that are counter to our civilization, I do my very best to distill it in easy to understand language and bring it to the attention of my readers.  

My style is very much no holds barred and I am not afraid to tackle any topic.  Be it the constant open attacks on Christianity and Judaism, the shredding of our Constitution and the many other forms of treason that have become rampant in our government, the shoddy treatment of our troops and veterans, the spreading islamization of our country, the horror of abortion, the increasing sexualization of our children and the never ending sexual depravity that we are constantly bombarded with, same sex marriage, the emerging evil in places like Oklahoma, and any number of issues that are fraying the fabric of our society. 

Sometimes the truth of my brutally direct, honest opinions is questioned by the occasional detractor, of which I have my share.  I might add, I am very excited to have them, because it means that while people may not always agree with me, they are reading and thinking about what I have to say; and that is critical.

Which brings me to the subject of today’s monologue.  Normally I am unfazed by negative comments; however, on Thursday, my day started with a message from a 'reader,’ which stated among other things that, "…your periodical, while you stand behind your freedom of press, insights hate and violence.”  It went on say, "…your column posts half-truths and young impressionable people unfortunately get caught up in it.”

Being confused, I politely questioned this, and the response was merely a repeat of the original with some added comments, "…you insight hate, post false information…you are a right wing extremist and your type is dangerous.”  "You remind of the KKK.”  

I then explained how I take pains to ensure the accuracy of everything I write and politely asked the reader to please cite an example of where I’ve ever said anything that incites hate or extremism.  As of press time, I have not seen a response, nor am I likely to if the history of such comments is to be repeated.  Whenever any of those who share my viewpoints are attacked, the attacker almost always throws out such baseless comments without offering any evidence, because there rarely is any, and there is certainly none in The Patriots Press.  Additionally, whenever we question our detractors with facts, the questions are often ignored, diverted, or otherwise glossed over.  Then, before walking away in a huff, they usually end such encounters by labeling us as "haters,” "islamophobes,” "xenophobes,” etc., none of which could be further from the truth, at least not among my peer group. 

I will address the charges though; outrageous as they are.  Please note that due to my respect for her son, the 'reader’ shall remain anonymous.  

As stated above, I keep my eyes and ears open to the problems of the world, condense them to short, readable, easy to understand editorials, and bring them to the attention of my readers.  I also make it a point to link to all of my cited sources.  

As far as the "insighting hate and violence” accusation is concerned, that is patently absurd.  As any of my regular readers, or anyone that knows me for that matter, can attest to, I don’t hate anyone, nor do I promote it or any sort of violence.  However, like many other Patriots unafraid to speak the truth in the face of so much unanswered lying and evil in the world, I do hate seeing the fabric of our society destroyed on a daily basis by the very things that we continually expose; some of which I mentioned in my opening comments.  Which is why we do what we do.

Concerning the very offensive comment "…you remind me of the KKK.”  Huh, what?!  The KKK is a group of murderous, white supremacist racists founded by and whose membership is still made up mostly of members of the same political party that sponsors and promotes most of the vile anti-American policies that we Patriots rail against. 

How anything I’ve ever written somehow reminds that 'reader' of such a vile organization boggles my mind. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinions, however incredulous those opinions may be.

Furthermore, and I’m speaking for many of my peers here, if believing in the vision of our Founders and doing our part to restore our nation to its core Christian principles and values makes some people falsely consider me and my fellow Patriots "hateful,” "extremist” "dangerous,” or whichever adjective they choose, so be it.  

From where we sit, the provable dangers that we expose daily are with the extremely destructive ideologies of the left.  They are indoctrinating our youth with their socialist propaganda while they destroy our way of life with their 'progressive’ anti-American, Godless values.  

I can only hope that the combined voices of those of us in the conservative camp can overcome and prevail over the very real threat of liberalism before it is too late, and it may be too late already.  My fear is that one day soon, with enough of the wrong people in office and seated in the courts, they may indeed be successful in silencing those of us who dare to boldly offer the truth.  Interestingly, while we would never consider silencing them, in the name of "tolerance,” they constantly attempt to shut us down by such methods as calling truth "hate speech” and getting legislation approved that would inhibit and/or stifle our free speech.

What our detractors need to consider is this.  If 'they’ ever are successful in completely suppressing us and the truth, what do you suppose will happen when you that support 'them’ are no longer useful and try to speak out when 'they’ then turn on you?  History is rife with examples to answer that question.  Think about it.
