Lunch...Cafeteria Style in Palm Beach Gardens

Where to go for lunch?!  More and more often I find the need to meet for a casual business lunch.  As often as not, those lunches take place in the northern stretches of the county and I find myself needing a mostly quiet place to talk and spread things out.

Naturally, we like to enjoy a decent meal as well, so I have found myself in the cafeteria at Christ Fellowship Church on Northlake Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens.  Not where most people might think of, but it is excellent.

Unless one attends the church or knows people that do, you might not even know this cafeteria exists.  Here’s what I can say about it.  It is usually very quiet and, weather permitting; one can opt to eat outside in the shade of an umbrella.  They don’t mind if you just pop in to sit and conduct business, have coffee, or order something to eat and relax for a while.

The food options are simple, but ample enough.  The cafeteria line always offers two different soups which are always very good, there are usually two entrees to choose from with several sides, or you might just want to make yourself a salad from the salad bar, which I might add is right next to the delicious desserts they offer.

If the cafeteria offerings aren’t to your liking, there is a regular menu with some great items that they prepare to order and deliver to your table.  Last time I was there, I thought it would be a great idea to clog my arteries, so I indulged myself with a Cheddar Burger and a side of Sweet Potato Fries which was, if you’ll pardon the expression being that it is a church…sinfully delicious.  And, if you’re really looking to keep it simple, they have some killer prepared sandwiches that are made fresh daily, and are almost always available.  The Chicken Salad is mui delicioso by the way.

Before I close, I really do have to expand on the desserts for just a second; the Cheese Cake, Chocolate Cake, Scones, (the White Chocolate/Rasberry are my favorite) and all the rest are excellent.  And of course they have a coffee bar that rivals the big name that I won't mention, but it rhymes with Starbucks.

No matter what you choose, you’ll enjoy a great meal at a great value, and you can get your business done.  Stop by and say hello to our friends Miss Gloria, Ashley, Ralph, and Joe.

For over all great food, reasonable prices, and atmosphere, I give them a 4.5 every day of the week.

You'll find them at 5343 Northlake Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens just west of the Fire Station.
