Florida Panthers president launches twitter contest

Sunrise, Fla. - It was announced Tuesday that Florida Panthers President Michael R. Yormark has launched a Twitter contest in which one lucky fan will win two lower level tickets to each Panthers home game during the 2013 season.

In order to be automatically entered to win the two lower level tickets, fans must answer the trivia question and retweet @PanthersYormark using the hashtag #7thman. The winner will be chosen at least 24 hours before each puck drop. Therefore, if you think you have a shot at winning, don’t make plans for the upcoming game night!

The above contest is part of the Panthers’ new “7th Man” initiative, rightfully so, dedicating the entire season to fans and supporters. Tickets now start as low as $7 a game and fans can log on to Ticketmaster.com or call 954-835-PUCK (7825) to purchase opening night, season or single game tickets.

The official game and radio/television schedules for the 2012-2013 NHL season have yet to be released due to the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) not having yet been ratified by the players. Not to worry, during a press conference, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman revealed that the schedule will be released “immediately” once the players ratify it. The players’ ratification is expected to take place sometime this Saturday.

Although not official, it has been rumored that the Pittsburgh Penguins will open the season on NBC, taking on the Philadelphia Flyers. Typically the Penguins vs. Flyers games have drawn a large audience both in arena and on television/radio.

Which two teams would you like to see open the season? And what kind of trivia questions do you think will be asked of Florida Panther fans?
