Publisher’s note: The family of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi as well as We the People of the United States have been waiting far too long for the release of this young man.
In case you live in a cave, here is a snapshot of a young decent guy who happens to be a United States Marine that made a wrong turn into Mexico about six months ago. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, he just made a simple mistake and got on the wrong exit ramp…he happened to be carrying several of his legally owned firearms; but in Mexico only the drug lords are allowed to have them and he was subsequently arrested.
Since that time, his plight has been ignored by the administration of Barack Hussein Obama. Pleas from his mother and family as well as several Congressmen have gone unanswered, while the president of Mexico has recently been wined and dined by the Governor of California.
We the people are being side tracked by many distractions, but this is a front burner issue and a national disgrace. Especially at a time when we are hosting upwards of 12 million illegal trespassers from that country, there needs to be a hue and cry across the country on this…Mr. President, forget the fund raisers, put away your golf clubs, pick up your phone and pen, and bring this man home.
Fox News: SAN DIEGO - There's no dispute retired Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi drove with three loaded guns in his truck into Mexico where firearms are illegal.
Tahmooressi says he got lost on a California freeway ramp that sent him across the border with no way to turn back. His attorney argues Mexican Customs officials also violated his rights by holding him for some eight hours without notifying the U.S. Consulate or getting a translator.
But arguing those points could mean a long time in jail for the 26-year-old Afghanistan war veteran.
Instead, his lawyer is relying on another argument to win his freedom in the shortest time possible: He needs to be release so he can go home to get treatment for his combat-related post-traumatic stress, which Mexican authorities don't treat, even in their own soldiers.
