Regime on a rampage

Publisher's note:  In a move very reminiscent and consistent with the IRS targeting Tea Party Groups, Dinesh D'Souza has been indicted for illegal campaign donations.  Even if the charges are proven, this is nothing less than blatant political retribution from an over-reaching administration hell bent on squashing all detractors.  Have we gone back in time to Nazi Germany in the 30's?

Fox News:  The conservative filmmaker behind a hit anti-Obama documentary was indicted Thursday night on charges he violated federal campaign laws, in what a close colleague is calling a “selective prosecution.”

Dinesh D'Souza, whose “2016: Obama’s America” is the second-highest grossing political documentary of all time, will appear in U.S. District Court in New York Friday.

The indictment states the 52-year-old best-selling author and activist will be charged with one count of illegally donating to a Senate campaign and one count of causing false statements to be made to authorities in connection with the contributions.

FoxNews.com has confirmed that the donation in question was made to Republican Wendy Long, who lost a 2012 Senate bid against New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

CYA in W. Virginia

Publisher's note:  I guess it isn't a real surprise that Freedom Industries, the company being held responsible for the water contamination in W. VA has filed for Bankruptcy protection.  By doing so, they are, at least for a while, protected from what one can only imagine will be a fortune in lawsuits.

Fox News:  The company blamed for a chemical spill that left 300,000 West Virginians without safe drinking water filed for bankruptcy Friday, temporarily shielding them from dozens of lawsuits, most by businesses that were forced to shut down for days.

Freedom Industries Inc. also used its bankruptcy papers as a forum to speculate on how the spill might have happened.

The company filed a Chapter 11 petition with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of West Virginia, eight days after the spill began.

Company president Gary Southern signed the paperwork, which lists both the company's assets and liabilities as being between $1 million and $10 million. It says the company has at least 200 creditors and owes its top 20 creditors $3.66 million.

The bankruptcy proceedings temporarily halt the lawsuits against Freedom Industries, said Charleston attorney Anthony Majestro, who is representing several small businesses that sued the company. Majestro said his clients are weighing an option to petition the court to proceed in hopes of collecting on Freedom's insurance policy. It depends on the company's level of coverage, Majestro said.

Curriculum for 13 year olds?!

Written by Fox News on . Posted in National News

Publisher's note:  A few weeks ago, The Patriots Press opened up a dialogue concerning the rapid emergence and acceptance of pedophilia in America and Western Culture in general.

Some have and do scoff at the notion; however this incident and many more like it lend a lot of credibility to the increasing over-sexualization and continued depravity inflicted upon our children.

As this story below explains, under the guise of ‘sexual education,’ the Hocker Grove Middle School in Shawnee, KS,  posted a list directed at students as young as 13 years old of potential ways that people might “express sexual feelings” towards one another.  You’ll have to read the story for the complete list; however it included oral and anal sex, and fondling each other.

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident in a Podunk town in Kansas that no one ever heard of; this is part of the accepted National Curriculum.  Since it poses sexual activity between children in a positive, if not acceptable, light, it is a giant step closer to the total exploitation and abuse of our youth.

I hate to break it to anyone, and I know the thought is considered archaic to many; however sexual intimacy was never intended for purposes outside of marriage between a man and a woman.  Just because society has come to a place where anything goes doesn’t change reality. Look it up!

Fox News:  A Kansas father said he was shocked after he discovered his 13-year-old daughter’s health curriculum included references to vaginal intercourse, anal sex, and touching each other’s genitals.

“I got furious,” Mark Ellis, of Shawnee, Kan., told me. “And I’m still worked up about it.”

Ellis’ daughter is an eighth grade student at Hocker Grove Middle School in the Shawnee Mission School District. Last week, she came home from school and showed her parents a photograph she had taken of a poster on a classroom door.

“How do people express their sexual feelings?” the poster read. Underneath the question was a list of possible answers. Some were G-rated, like hugging, holding hands and talking. But there were also some NC-17 answers like “vaginal intercourse, anal sex, touching each other’s genitals, oral sex, sexual fantasy and caressing.”

Ellis told me the sexual acts listed on the poster were “outrageous for 13-year-old children.”

“I looked at my wife, we looked at each other and I was hoping it was a prank a student had pulled,” he said.

On Monday, Ellis discovered that not only was the poster legitimate, it was also part of the approved curriculum at the middle school.

Thousands of fish mysteriously dead in Nevada

Written by Yahoo News on . Posted in National News

Publisher's note:  This sort of thing happens from time to time.  Hopefully they will discover what happened to this fish population and prevent this from happening again.

Yahoo News:  SPARKS, Nev. (AP) -- State wildlife officials are trying to figure out why all the fish have died in a northern Nevada marina where the stocked fishery has flourished since the man-made lake was created nearly 15 years ago.

An estimated 100,000 trout, bass and catfish have died over the past month in the Sparks Marina along U.S. Interstate 80 east of Reno, apparently the result of a dramatic, unexplained drop in dissolved oxygen levels, Nevada Department of Wildlife spokesman Chris Healy said Wednesday.

Scientists say a bitter cold snap could have caused oxygen-poor waters to rise from the old rock quarry's bottom to the surface, but they don't understand what sparked the massive die-off.

Fish biologists confirmed low oxygen levels caused the death of an estimated 3,000 fish in one corner of the lake in mid-December, but Healy said they thought at the time that the event was localized and of limited impact. Since then, they've been unable to detect any live fish in the 77-acre lake. Numerous dead fish have been removed from the lake's shoreline, and Healy said it's likely the rest sank to the bottom.

"The 100,000 dead fish figure is something that is probably a pretty conservative guess," said Healy, who estimates they've stocked close to 1 million adult fish in the lake since they started in 1998.

Baby...it's cold outside!

Written by Fox News on . Posted in National News

Publisher's note:  As my most of my readers are aware, The Patriots Press is published from somewhere in the bowels of the Heaven on Earth known as Palm Beach County.  While most of the rest of the country is frost and snow bound, we are enjoying relatively balmy conditions.  We are however very much concerned for those experiencing what very well could be record setting, life threatening temperatures and we pray for the safety and well being of all those affected, especially those poor souls that have found themselves homeless with nowhere to turn.

In that light, I ask that my readers do whatever they can, even in a small way to help anyone they come across that may be without shelter.

Fox News:  SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –  Icy, snow-covered roads and high winds made travel treacherous Sunday from the Dakotas and Michigan to Missouri as much of the nation braced for the next winter wallop: a dangerous cold that could break records.

A whirlpool of frigid, dense air known as a "polar vortex" was expected to suppress temperatures in more than half of the continental U.S. starting into Monday and Tuesday, with wind chill warnings stretching from Montana to Alabama.

It was 5 degrees at kickoff Sunday afternoon inside sold-out Lambeau Field for a playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers, one of the coldest ever played.

"We suited up, we brought all the snowboarding gear we use ... and added to it," said 49ers fan Jeff Giardinelli of Fresno, Calif. "Without the wind, which isn't here yet, we're good. When it gets windy, we'll be ready for it."
